Synopsis: Liu Jiuan (Li) is a Chinese agent sent to France to help capture a Chinese ganster. However, France's number one cop, Jeanne-Pierre Richard (Tcheky Karyo), has sent Liu up for a murder Pierre himself comitted. Liu, on the run in a foreign city and trying to keep a low profile unwillingly finds himself becoming friends with an American prostitute, Jessica (Fonda). It hust so happens, Jessica holds the key to Liu's innocence. Ryan plays Jessica's pimp, Lupo, which is just one of the obsticales Jet Li has to overcome to see he doesn't get caught for a crime he didn't commit.
